Kevin Tomkins
MA (Leadership), CEC, ACC
Whether facilitating a room of 100 people or doing one-to-one coaching, Kevin is energized when individuals achieve something they never thought they could.
Kevin understands people are affected by many different forces, that our lives aren’t parcelled into neat sections of real estate. So, he considers the whole person and their environments as he gets to know his clients, noticing where they might have blindspots, and what might be holding them back. This information helps Kevin adjust his approach to best be of service when clarifying a path forward, which has included being a critical thought partner, accountability partner, creative sounding board, advocate, or overall supporter of life.
As Kevin builds relationships with his clients, they feel increasingly safe, open to explore the challenges and opportunities in their lives. Kevin asks questions through a lens of curiosity and compassion, encouraging individuals to self-discover new possibilities, challenge assumptions, and reframe situations and circumstances – that they may or may not have already recognized – as opportunities. Together they then move forward setting achievable goals, determining a course of action, the client feeling empowered to achieve more than they thought possible.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys travelling and being outside with his family for camping, hiking, fishing, and golf. His reading interests span topics in leadership, change, neuroscience, personal development, and the odd fictional book for fun. To unwind, he can be found coaching his son in hockey, watching sports and the History Channel, or out on the highway enjoying the freedom that comes with riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
